Other information

At CMS, Europe’s leading group of law firms, we believe a career in law should be open to students from all walks of life, if that’s what they want to do and their potential measures up.

Our bursaries are open to S5 state school students who want to study law at university, are expected to achieve at least AABB or ABBB or equivalent in Highers, are in the first generation to go to university and meet certain financial criteria. The bursaries are worth £2,500 for each year of the degree course and everyone that we interview also receives mentoring support from a CMS lawyer.

Applications are through our essay competition which you can enter by clicking apply below. You can find out more about the eligibility criteria and competition rules at https://cms.law/en/GBR/About-Us/Corporate-Social-Responsibility/CMS-Law-Bursary. Applications close on 30 June 2017.

If you are a student at a school in the rest of the UK (not Scotland), please apply through our Rest of UK scheme at https://cms.law/en/GBR/About-Us/Corporate-Social-Responsibility/CMS-Law-Bursary
