Purpose of job

We are looking for an outstanding practitioner to join our International Protection practice.  Based in our market-leading Immigration team, you will work closely with the fee-earners and partners across our International Protection Group including our Immigration, Criminal Litigation, Public Law and Dispute Resolution teams in providing strategic advice and litigation assistance to the firm’s clients requiring International Protection.

Working with a range of HNW and high profile clients, you will be advising on a range of issues including asylum, immigration, extradition, Interpol Notices and judicial review. You will have experience of working on complex asylum claims and appeals and will understand the overlap with extradition and strategic considerations around the best options for clients. You will be working with a range of other teams in the firm providing a high level of service to support clients in need of protection from corporate raiding and politically motivated prosecutions. You will have experience of instructing and working closely with specialist counsel.

You will also have a firm grounding in immigration and nationality law advising individuals on family and business applications and appeals. Outside of asylum work, you will be working closely with our dedicated private client immigration team with this work, providing high levels of client service.
