Real Estate has been at the core of Kingsley Napley’s business since 1937. The team provide specialist advice on real estate and construction matters but remain focused on their clients' objectives. They take a commercial approach to transactions to ensure that their clients’ commercial aims and risk profiles are achievable. The team are listed in the legal directories and are noted for “commitment to getting transactions completed in the most expeditious and advantageous way possible for our clients” and for being “extremely responsive and commercial”.

To assist the department in the provision of advice to the firm’s clients.

Specific duties:                         

The role of this senior paralegal is to work alongside the fee-earners doing residential work in the Real Estate and Construction team with respect to any aspect of their caseload with which assistance is needed.                         

The successful candidate will gain exposure to a range of work but will predominately focus on high value residential and residential development matters.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual who has an interest in assisting the development of the residential section of the Real Estate team. The department’s client base is a mix of high net worth individuals, international investors, entrepreneurs and private property companies. As a close knit team, we’re looking for a team player who can work well with all members of this busy and supportive department.

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Dealing with plot sales
  • Dealing with sales and purchases with appropriate supervision
  • Assisting with due diligence on property transactions and other tasks
  • Preparing reports on title
  • Completing Land Registry applications
  • Completing and filing stamp duty land tax forms
  • Assisting with the general administration of the Real Estate team
  • Proof reading and checking forms and documents for accuracy
  • Researching points of law and other factual issues, through the use of legal databases, textbooks and other appropriate sources
  • Assisting with ad hoc administrative and legal tasks under instruction.
