The department

Purpose of job

To assist the Immigration Practice Area in the provision of advice to the firm’s corporate clients.  The Immigration Department is made up of three teams which consist of two corporate teams and one private client team.

Responsibilities
  • Manage own caseload of corporate clients
  • Actively manage and develop client relationships including day to day contact with key clients and preparing a variety of business immigration applications
  • Provide advice on complex UK immigration matters
  • Work with clients on Administrative reviews, appeals and judicial reviews against decisions of the UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI)   
  • Keep immigration knowledge up to date and is familiar with all relevant legislation
  • Liaise closely with other fee earners in the team and with clients
  • Liaise directly with the UKVI
  • Supervising the preparation of immigration applications and representations to the UKVI
  • Research
  • Marketing activities (seminars, workshops, pitches etc.)
  • Understanding of financials on client accounts
  • Supervision of junior members of the team
  • Such other duties as may from time to time be required.
