The role

Shoosmiths are seeking an experienced Integration Analyst to join the IS department during an exciting time of investment in the firm's technology infrastructure, with over 40 live projects being run by the department.

As part of the integration team, you will be responsible for the integration of disparate systems across the firm, including case management systems, workflow/BPM systems and SAP (Practice Management/Finance System), utilising Microsoft integration technologies. 

Main responsibilities

Working as the Integration Analyst, your remit will have you working closely with the business to analyse requirements and design appropriate solutions, therefore you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Furthermore, you will work collaboratively with the project teams to provide timescales to the users and work closely with other IS team to manage the requirements relating to interfaces with other systems.

The production of documentation, technical specifications, training / test scripts and risk and issue logs will also fall under your role, thus you will have excellent attention to detail and prior experience in producing detailed documentation.

We are looking for an experienced Integration professional who has an inquisitive mind that can identify opportunities for improvement across the firm. With numerous projects on-going, you will need to be able to juggle a broad and varied workload, but in return you will be given the opportunity to work with new and exciting technologies.  

Skills and qualifications

The ideal candidate will have development expertise across a breadth of Microsoft Integration technologies including Biztalk 2013 along with SQL Server and related reporting technologies (SSRS & SQL Profiler). You will ideally have experience within a law firm, professional services firm or other service sector industry, with strong communication skills across all levels.

Essential experience 

  • Development of Microsoft integration technologies such as SSIS and DTS
  • Experience of SQL Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012 and 2014
  • Experience of developing in C#
  • Development and support experience in an IT discipline
  • Strong communication skills as this role will require stakeholder management

Ideal experience

  • Experience of Microsoft BizTalk 2013
  • Experience of SSRS and SQL Profiler
  • Experience of Web Technologies such as MVC, IIS, WCF and REST
  • Experience in a law firm, professional services firm or other service sector industry (not essential)

Background checks

Due to the nature of the work undertaken, confirmation of employment will be subject to a variety of checks which will be carried out once an offer of employment is accepted.  These checks will include full employment references covering the last 5 years, proof of ID, proof of address covering the last 5 years, Personnel Vetting credit search (which will highlight insolvency or County Court Judgments etc); Terrorism Check (against data supplied by the Bank of England), eIDV check and a Criminal Records Bureau check.
