Shoosmiths’ tax team is widely known as one of the leading firms advising on venture capital trust and enterprise investment scheme investments. The team acts for a wide range of both investors and investee companies on: structuring and implementing investments, reorganisation and exits in compliance with the VCT and EIS legislation; obtaining advance assurances from HMRC in relation to proposed investments; and submissions to HMRC and HM Treasury on proposed changes to EIS and VCT legislation.

Our tax team is looking to grow and is seeking to appoint an additional VCT/EIS tax specialist to join us in either Thames Valley or Birmingham. The role is open to tax lawyers, tax accountants or tax advisers who are looking for an alternative and interesting new opportunity. Ideally applicants would have been advising in this area for a few years but all applications will be considered.
