The role

This is where you come in.  We need someone like you to join our busy but friendly and sociable Projects & Innovation team to help us to continue to achieve all that we are aiming for and beyond.  You will be part of, or, individually running projects to deliver process improvements or introducing new cutting-edge technology into this exciting law firm.

You’ll be committed to excellent customer service and someone who has the personality about them to liaise with a variety of people from receptionists to partners of the firm.

Main responsibilities
  • Liaise with key stakeholders in the identification and development of improvements to business systems.
  • Evaluate business requests and advise on suitability and implementation.
  • Carry out full business analysis to include requirements and solution.
  • Write product change specifications.
  • Manage the delivery of projects into the associated sections.
  • Carry out and manage testing of any solutions prior to implementation
  • Produce accurate and concise documentation.
Skills and qualifications
  • Self-motivating with a flexible approach.
  • An inquisitive and analytical mind.
  • A methodical and accurate worker, able to see tasks through to the end. 
  • The ability to express ideas clearly in speech, email and documentation.
  • The confidence, maturity and stature to deal effectively with colleagues in all parts and levels of the business.

Role-specific knowledge and expertise

  • Experience of running Agile projects.
  • Have a good understanding of systems and technologies available
  • Experience in process and requirements analysis
  • Experience of Business Process Reengineering.

What else do you need to know

We are a national law firm so travel and overnight stay to other Shoosmiths offices may be necessary on occasions.

You may have to be flexible with the working hours to complete some tasks outside of core business hours of 08:00 to 18:00 and at weekends.
