The team

Our Division is one of the largest Real Estate teams in the UK, working nationally across our 11 locations. With over 350 people including 71 Partners, we advise a range of the leading real estate businesses operating in the UK market. Our clients primarily comprise developers, investors, funders, retail and leisure occupiers, social housing bodies, major corporates, and a range of public sector bodies.

We opened our Leeds office nearly four years ago and since then have built up a highly-experienced team of expert legal practitioners with a current office headcount of over 80. The Real Estate team in Leeds which is headed up by Simon Meek, is the largest team in the office and are continuing to go from strength to strength and with an increase in work from existing and new clients (local and national), growth is very much on the agenda for this team.

The role

We are seeking an additional commercial real estate Associate to join our thriving and supportive team.   Our Real Estate division is at the forefront of the firm’s strategic growth and no two days are the same in this role where the successful candidate will be gaining exposure to and will be involved in a variety of commercial property matters.  The ideal candidate will be as passionate as we are when it comes to all things property law and will ideally have experience in development (both residential and commercial), acquisitions and disposals and landlord and tenant matters. General commercial property lawyers are encouraged to apply and there will be an opportunity for training to develop a niche as a development specialist in the medium term.

This is an ideal platform to develop where you will be encouraged to drive and shape your career path as well as playing an active role in in business development initiatives.
