The role

We are recruiting for a paralegal to join our Commercial Recoveries team based in Whiteley. Whether you are looking for your first legal role, considering a career change or are already an experienced paralegal, then this could be the role for you:

You will be trained to run and oversee a caseload of debt recovery matters, from sending an initial letter, through to issuing Claims and beyond. You will also be trained in processing Bankruptcy and Winding up Petition cases. Whatever your experience level, training and support will be provided.

Main responsibilities
  • Managing a case load of debt recovery matters subject to client SLAs and KPIs;
  • Setting up new cases and sending Letters Before Claim;
  • Issuing Claims, obtaining Judgments, and Enforcement processes;
  • Preparing and issuing Statutory Demands, Bankruptcy and Winding Up Petitions;
  • Liaising with and providing best advice to clients on a regular basis;
Skills and qualifications
  • IT literate with experience of using Word, Excel and the internet;
  • Good written, numeracy and oral communication skills;
  • A fast learner and a hard worker;
  • Good telephone manner;
  • Experience in customer service environment, or any relevant equivalent experience would be desirable;
  • Willingness to learn new skills;
  • Confident and professional.

  • Usual working hours M – F 9-5.30.
