The team

Our team provides clients with rapid, concise and efficient legal and commercial advice. We advise on all contentious and non-contentious issues affecting the sector. Our exceptional list of clients speaks volumes as it is spread across a multitude of sectors including; developers, contractors, industry professionals, insurers, public sector bodies, sub-contractors, banks and other financial institutions.

The role

We are looking to recruit a Paralegal into our Construction team on an initial 12 month FTC basis.

The successful candidate will be assisting the national team with a variety of tasks within non-contentious matters. 

Tasks will include but are not limited to:                              

  • Assisting the legal advisors in the department with various Construction matters, with the emphasis on non-contentious work
  • Document production, amending, tracking and producing agreements
  • Printing and binding final documents
  • Communicating effectively and confidently with clients
  • Recording time and working towards billing targets set within the Construction team.
  • Provide wider Admin support as and when required
  • Assisting with various other tasks as required.
Skills and qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months prior experience working in a busy Construction team and preferably completed their LPC
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal and external clients
  • Excellent attention to detail taken with all correspondence and documentation
  • Flexible according to client needs, with the ability to adapt to change, new practices and remain calm under pressure
  • Able to integrate within a team as well as working on your own initiative
  • Prepared to get involved in business development, including the attendance at networking and other marketing events
  • Good working knowledge of various applications – such as digital dictation
  • Good organisational skills to ensure that the tasks are effectively scheduled within working time available, and that urgent work is completed and returned within the specified timescales.
