The role

We are seeking a permanent document automation specialist / Junior Systems Developer who will form part of a team responsible for the development and maintenance of the IT systems and services employed by Shoosmiths' legal and business support departments.

Main responsibilities

The successful applicant will assist in all aspects of document automation, including:

  • Working with business representatives to define documents and their required data.
  • Developing documents into templates compatible with Shoosmiths systems.
  • Developing the methods of automated document assembly.
  • Ensuring that the documents produced adhere to Shoosmiths documentation standards.

And will also be involved in all phases of the development of business-changing enterprise solutions, using Nintex (K2 five), SharePoint Online, Microsoft SQL Server and other technologies.

The post-holder will also contribute significantly to third-tier support processes, resolving problems, documenting root causes, and improving service levels.

Additional details:
Occasional travel to other Shoosmiths offices may be necessary.

It is essential that the post holder can work flexible or extended hours to complete some tasks outside of core business hours of 08:00 to 18:00.

The post-holder will ensure full compliance with all Data Protection laws and any relevant policies and guidelines.

 Due to the nature of the work undertaken, confirmation of employment will be subject to a variety of checks which will be carried out once an offer of employment is accepted.  These checks will include employment references covering the last 5 years, proof of ID, proof of address covering the last 5 years, Personnel Vetting credit search (which will only highlight insolvency or County Court Judgments - should any adverse data show on the Personnel Vetting search then any offer of employment made will be withdrawn).Terrorism Check (against data supplied by the Bank of England) and a DBS check previously known as a Criminal Records check.
