Commercial Senior Associate/Principal/Legal Director

PQE: 4 years +
Term: Permanent
Team: Commercial Group
Location: Manchester
The role

Our Manchester Commercial team is looking to hire experienced Commercial, IT, and Tech lawyers – ideally with some data and IP experience. We have opportunities at 4 yr PQE + so if you’re considering your next role as a Senior Associate, Principal Associate or Legal Director – we hope you’ll come and talk to us.

Continuing to flourish with Luke Stubbs joining Richard Millington at partner level this is a collaborative, dynamic team, with lots of local contacts and energy, embedded in the ambitious, progressive Shoosmiths national team. The team has a leaning towards technology and sourcing projects and you can expect cutting edge exposure to fintech, payments, and e-commerce matters. More broadly the team advises on a full range of commercial contract matters.  You will be encouraged to follow your interest and develop your skills as you advance and there is no bar to career progression.

Candidates with experience in the Financial Services and Technology sectors would be of particular interest.

Our clients view us as an extension of their business and we get numerous requests for secondees. If you join us you’ll most likely get the opportunity to spend some time in-house with one of them. We’d happily accept applications from candidates currently in-house too – we’d value your commerciality and rounded experience.

We genuinely believe we have something different to offer you at Shoosmiths and our Manchester office is the epitome of this.   It’s reflected in everything we say and do from our use of technology to enable effective cross-office working, to the team spirit and culture and our commitment to environmental responsibility and social mobility. If you have any queries about working at Shoosmiths or this role – we’d be delighted to have a discussion in confidence so please contact Rachel Charlton in our Recruitment Team (Rachel.charlton@shoosmiths.co.uk).
