The team

Our award winning national corporate team, which is consistently ranked as one of the UK’s top law firms for deal volume by Experian MarketlQ’s M&A Review, is led by a team of partners widely regarded as leaders in their field who are regularly recommended by clients for their reputation, personalities and outstanding expertise.

We advise companies, management teams, investors and debt providers through the business life cycle, from start-up and first round finance through to M&A, management transactions, venture and growth capital, restructuring, capital reductions, private equity funding and exits. We also have a growing corporate finance practice, primarily advising listed clients on equity capital raisings on the public markets.

Our Nottingham team is one of the most highly regarded in the city and is led by Crispin Bridges Webb. We act for a variety of local, national and international clients, assisting and advising them on all aspects of the business life cycle. We have a particular specialism in corporate finance with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions as well as divestments, and private equity and venture capital transactions. Clients range from young fast growth companies to large multinational corporations, wherever based. A substantial amount of our work is for overseas private equity and corporate investors.

The role

We are looking to add a Principal Associate or Legal Director to our team and are keen to speak with candidates with considerable experience in running M&A deals and managing a range of other corporate transactions. You will be expected to take the lead on some transactions as well as working alongside a Partner as part of a local or national team on larger or more complex deals. Mentoring and developing junior associates will also be a vital part of your role.

We pride ourselves in providing the best client experience and you will be encouraged to take part in, and at times take ownership of a variety of client and BD activities from the outset. This role is an excellent platform to assume responsibility and be part of an ambitious and expanding team which wants to continue its growth trajectory.

Equal opportunities

Our approach to our people is underpinned by our approach to diversity, inclusion and well being. Our ambition is to build a diverse and ambitious workforce that reflects all backgrounds and talents, and a workplace that is supportive and inclusive, recognises and nurtures talent, and has a strong sense of community between colleagues.

This means that everyone who either applies to or works for the firm is treated equally, whatever their gender, age, ethnic origin, nationality, marital status, disability, sexual orientation or religious beliefs.
