The firm

Shoosmiths - UK Law Firm of the Year Winner at the Legal Week British Legal Awards 2015.

A leading UK law firm with a network of offices from the South Coast to Scotland, working together as one national team. An innovative practice and the first top 100 law firm to achieve “Gold Standard” Investors in People, our values and culture are not just words on our website but are the heartbeat of the firm. The lack of barriers between departments, a real lack of hierarchy, zero tolerance for arrogance and pomposity makes Shoosmiths a fantastic place to work.

The role

Our Milton Keynes based real estate team is looking to expand due to some exciting client wins and anticipated ongoing projects!

As a result they are keen to speak to solicitors/associates (NQ-6PQE) demonstrating strong commercial and technical experience in representing clients on a variety of real estate matters. Of particular interest are candidates offering expertise in areas including landlord and tenant transactions, agricultural, development and property finance work but we do not expect you to necessarily have experience in all of those areas.

Main responsibilities

The successful candidate will work closely and in partnership with some fantastic clients on high quality transactions and have significant opportunities to be involved in business development.

Skills and qualifications

NQ applicants must have completed a real estate seat within a recognised real estate practice and should demonstrate a clear commitment to developing their career within this area.

This is a great opportunity to join a nationally recognised, market leading real estate group.

Equal opportunities

Shoosmiths is a committed Equal Opportunities employer promoting equality of opportunity. This means that everyone who either applies to or works for the firm is treated equally, whatever their gender, age, ethnic origin, nationality, marital status, disability, sexual orientation or religious beliefs.
