The role

We are seeking a second through fourth year associate to join our Private Equity/U.S. Regulatory Funds team in London. There is also potential for candidates to be based out of Singapore. The London team is led by partner John Holton and forms part of our global Investment Funds practice.  Candidates must hold a U.S. J.D. or U.S. L.L.M and have an active U.S. Bar membership. Prior experience in private equity or hedge funds is preferred however, general corporate or securities experience may also be considered.  Experience with SEC compliance matters, especially under the U.S. Investment Advisers Act and 1940 Act, is highly desirable.  Some experience with AIFMD would also be helpful.

The successful candidate will help us continue to build our international funds practice across fast growing emerging market economies as we leverage our market leading position in Indian funds into other South and Southeast Asian countries and grow into both established and developing European markets. The practice also provides U.S. regulatory and corporate advice to a wide range of asset management firms globally.

This is an opportunity to join an entrepreneurial cross-border team that has already achieved success in emerging market PE and is seeking to leverage that success as it builds its practice across jurisdictions with significant growth potential.  The team offers many opportunities for international travel and networking.  Mentoring, non-stop feedback, and open discussion are core team values.

Additional information
