Finance Lawyer (1-2 PQE) - Generalist

We are seeking an England & Wales qualified associate for our London Finance team (structured within our international Corporate practice) with one to two year’s post-qualification experience. A wide variety of financing transactions experience and interest is sought as this will be a generalist role representing private equity sponsors, hedge funds, financial investors, special situation investors, portfolio companies and other corporate borrowers in direct lending and special situation transactions, financing activities in international and domestic syndicated loan, debt and capital markets, and potentially the finance aspects of complex restructuring transactions.

Prior exposure to some or all of the above workstreams working for commercially-minded financial institution clients such as investment banks, hedge funds, institutional lenders and other sophisticated investors is required.

Akin’s London Finance team (led by Amy Kennedy and Tom O'Connor) has 7 partners, 2 senior counsels, 6 counsels, 4 associates and a trainee and are at the centre of many of the market’s most innovative transactions. Our multidisciplinary team has advised on precedent-setting financings, acquisition and asset financings, special situations investments, workouts and restructurings in the U.S., the U.K. and throughout EMEA. We advise companies, private equity and hedge funds, banks and institutional lenders, export credit agencies, development finance institutions, Islamic finance institutions, and lessors and lessees in their financing activities in international and domestic syndicated loan, debt and capital markets.
