Purpose of role

Associates in our financial services law practice enjoy a varied working day, providing legal advice relating to corporate and commercial law, investment funds, general financial services, insurance and reinsurance. Our hand-picked legal team has earned a reputation for offering technical expertise coupled with commercial awareness and an understanding of our clients' desire for prompt response times and a solution-orientated service.

Given the nature of the practice we need a generalist with solid technical skills, a client centric and commercial approach and the ability to think on their feet.

Main responsibilities

•Providing legal services to clients, under the supervision of partners and/or senior associates. This will include researching, drafting, negotiating and advising on various legal matters.

•Getting involved in a range of know-how initiatives.

•Being an ambassador – selling our services and promoting our brand through business development activities.

•Maintaining system based filing systems to ensure all documents are stored appropriately.

•Proactively manage own budget to ensure timely billings/collections.

•Adhering to all policies, procedures and regulations as required.

•Taking responsibility for a wide range of tasks/projects as required by the partners in the group.

Qualifications

•A UK/Guernsey/Jersey legal qualification

•2-4 year PQE
