The department

Ranked Tier 1 Legal 500, our Family lawyers are members of Resolution and include accredited specialists, mediators, collaborative practitioners and Family Law Arbitrators who can provide family law advice and support. Oliver Gravell, a Partner in the team, is one of only four 'Band 1' ranked East Anglian family lawyers in Chambers 2010 to 2018.

We act for many high-net-worth individuals across East Anglia, London and overseas, with notable expertise in complex finance and children matters.  Skilled in drafting bespoke prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.  Family disputes including litigation, mediation, arbitration and collaborative law.

Purpose of job

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic market leading team dealing with high quality work. We are looking for a Solicitor or Associate to cover a broad range of work.

The position will involve work with minimal supervision but in a supportive manner, on a broad range of matters and running files involving but not limited to the above legal areas. 

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Running and managing files and delegating as appropriate.
  • High Court Litigation as well as mediation.
  • Advocacy, where appropriate.
  • Supporting the team Partners and team on larger and more complex matters.
  • Interacting directly with clients and managing their expectations.
  • Business Development



Data Security:

  • Ensure you are aware of and comply with all information security policies of the organisation relevant to your business role;
  • Report any actual or potential security breaches; and
  • Contribute to risk assessment where required.
  • All employees have the authority to act to prevent an information security incident from occurring or escalating, where possible.
The candidate
  • A Solicitor / Associate of 3-6 years PQE + gained in Family law within a strong regional or City firm.
  • Strong academic background.
  • A high attention to detail to produce work/ documentation which is consistently of a high standard.
  • To have a flexible approach to work to ensure client deadlines are always met and clients are communicated with on a consistent and regular basis.
  • Interest in and aptitude for business development.
