The department

Birketts’ team of over 40 corporate lawyers advises businesses on a wide variety of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and disposals, start-ups and new ventures, re-organisations, and private equity and venture capital fund-raisings. Our clients include entrepreneurs, private equity and venture capital funds and financial institutions, owner-managed and privately owned businesses, and UK and international public companies. 

We advise clients across a range of sectors and at different stages in the business life cycle from start-ups to mergers and acquisitions, buy-outs and buy-ins, development capital fund raisings, re-financings and exits.

Purpose of job

The role of the Paraelgal in the team will be to offer corporate support on matters involving residential property mortgage work.  This is typically technical and complex work, the aim of this role will be to ensure a smooth transactional administration process is adhered to with great attention to detail. 

The candidate
  • Proven IT and adminstration skills;
  • A law degree would be beneficial but not essential 
  • Prevous experience of assisting a coporate or other legal team is beneficial but not essential
