The department

We have a highly regarded intellectual property team comprised of non-contentious specialists assisting clients in relation to exploitation and acquisition of IP assets, a strong and growing trade mark and brands team and a specialist intellectual property disputes team.   We advise a range of businesses from SMEs to major corporate entities on their intellectual property matters.

Purpose of job

We are looking to expand that team and recruit a patent attorney.  We are looking to recruit someone who is:

  • Able to handle all aspects of protecting inventions, from drafting and prosecuting patents, providing advice on inventions and novelty, conducting freedom to operate analysis, due diligence, portfolio management and litigation support
  • Good client skills
  • Following preferred but not essential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team when necessary

 

The candidate
  • A qualified UK and European Patent Attorney
  • Ability to demonstrate post qualification experience in a range of areas (any disciplines will be considered)
  • Strong academic record
  • Good IT skills
