Scope

The role of Project Coordinator is to support the Head of IT Systems in the delivery of our transformational Infrastructure Review and cloud project. Tasks include development of project plans, production of project documentation, providing regular project status update, tracking deadlines, deliverables, resources, and timelines throughout the project process.

Responsibilities
  • Assist and support the Head of IT Systems in day to day running of the Infrastructure Review project;

  • Prepare, track, report and update project plans and communicate them to interested parties;

  • Ensure the agreed project management methods, standards and processes are maintained throughout the project lifecycle;

  • Manage resource scheduling and task completion with internal and external (supplier) team members;

  • Develop and support effective communication between the internal and external (supplier) project teams;

  • Coordinate the production of a monthly project summary report;

  • Set up and maintain systems for recording all project costs against budget;

  • Define and document procedures in accordance with agreed methodology;

  • Maintain risk and issue logs and change control records;

  • All project support, including scheduling meetings, production of agendas and minutes;

  • Undertake any other project tasks as specified by the Head of IT Systems;

  • Involvement in other IT projects as required.

Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge and experience of a formal project management methodology;

  • Knowledge of project management tools and techniques;

  • A high degree of computer literacy including advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite;

  • Project planning ability;

  • Experience of working on IT projects, ideally Infrastructure or Microsoft Azure related;

  • Ability to analyse and present information;

  • Detail orientated;

  • Strong communication skills.

Special aspects

Standard office hours are 09.30 to 17.30 Monday to Friday but it is essential that the applicant is committed, flexible and prepared to work beyond the normal office hours when necessary and in response to demand.
