The Team

The Marketing Team at Farrer & Co is responsible for the development and implementation of the firm’s marketing strategy, including profile and reputation, marketing communications, and business development.  This also extends to all aspects of marketing planning, brand management, communications, events, CRM, business and market analysis, and business development, including pitches and tenders.

Scope

We are looking for an extremely organised and proactive Marketing Assistant to support the team with a breadth of marketing activities as well as providing a good level of administrative support.

Responsibilities
  • To assist with the production of marketing collateral (both electronic and printed)

  • To assist with the organisation of events, taking the lead and responsibility for designated events

  • To assist with ad hoc projects within the team, including managing elements of certain projects where appropriate

  • To assist with social media initiatives including managing status updates for LinkedIn

  • Oversee feature slot on the Intranet including generating articles

  • Ensure incoming queries are dealt with promptly or forwarded to the relevant member of the Marketing Team

  • Process invoices for payment, including monitoring payment and supplier relationships

  • Coordination of team meetings and some diary management

  • Oversee Christmas card process/distribution

  • Produce reports on the effectiveness of all e-marketing campaigns

  • Monitor and disseminate press cuttings as appropriate.

  • Assist with updating website content

  • Manage day-to-day corporate membership relationships

  • Provide general administrative support as and when required

Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience of working within a fast paced Legal / professional services Marketing team (or other Business Services team) is highly desirable but not essential
  • Experience of using InterAction would be advantageous
  • Strong confident user of Microsoft Office

Education and Qualifications
  • Qualified to degree level (or equivalent)
Special aspects

The normal hours of work are 9.30am – 5.30pm but it is essential to be committed, flexible and prepared to work beyond the normal office hours when necessary and in response to client demand.
