The Team

We provide advice on the full range of employment issues advising (i) employers from the financial services, sports, corporate, media, retail, education, visitor attractions and charity sectors and (ii) individual senior executives.   We pride ourselves on excellent client service and on providing pragmatic, swift solutions, which come off the fence.

Scope

The team are looking for an administrator to provide support to fee-earners within our Employment team.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting paralegals and fee-earners within the team with a large redaction/document management exercise.

  • Assisting busy fee-earners with the preparation of bundles and other document management as requested.

  • Assisting fee-earners with research and simple drafting tasks.

  • Providing other general administrative support to fee-earners within the team.

  • Managing incoming correspondence and documentation, assimilating the information provided and maintaining accurate internal records (both paper-based and on the firm’s computer system Netdocuments).

Skills and Experience
  • Good GCSE and A-Level results.

  • Strong confident user of Microsoft Office and confidence to work on new software.

  • Someone ambitious with a desire to gain experience within a legal department to assist them in their future career.

  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.

  • Highly flexible individual who can prioritise and manage multiple tasks.

  • Excellent, confident telephone manner and good communication skills both verbally and in writing.

  • Proactive team player and supportive colleague, with an enthusiastic manner.

Special aspects

Our office hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm but it is essential that the applicant is committed, flexible and prepared to work beyond normal office hours when necessary and in response to the demands of the business.
