Our dispute resolution team handles a full range of litigation matters, from contract claims to large scale, complex multi-jurisdictional disputes and judicial review.  We regularly appear in the High Court and the Court of Protection as well as courts in the Channel Islands and overseas.  We also have significant experience of alternative dispute resolution and, in particular, arbitration and mediation.  We act for a broad array of clients including individuals, businesses ranging from small family businesses to significant corporates, banks, trustees and trust companies as well as schools, higher education institutions and not-for-profit organisations.  Our experience across this range of sectors ensures that our litigators understand the impact which a dispute can have on both an individual and at an organisational level.  Each dispute requires a tailored solution, and we are committed to working quickly with you to identify and understand the issues you are facing in order to achieve the best possible result.

Both Contentious Trusts & Estates and Commercial Litigation experience sought.

• Busy team seeking 2-4 PQE solicitor / barrister with experience in both contentious trusts & estates and commercial litigation

• The team are handling significant complex cases taking place in both England & Wales and abroad (including Bermuda,New Zealand, Jersey and elsewhere) with elements of both trusts/estates and commercial litigation.There is need for a number 2 to take hands on role and day to day responsibility in such cases.

• Applicant will also have own (generally smaller value cases) – giving applicant sole responsibility subject to 'light touch' oversight.

• Scope for a BD role – therefore willingness to write articles and give talks and interest in this area of law is necessary.

• A number of cases involve significant e-disclosure - some experience in relativity /magnum / other systems and large scale e-disclosure is desirable.

• Scope for travel.

• Proactive team player and supportive colleague, with an enthusiastic manner, who takes a flexible, ‘can-do’ approach with interest in this area of law.

• Confident in working autonomously/independently and able to ensure that ever-changing deadlines are met and cases move ahead smoothly.

• Ability to assimilate complex facts as well as meticulous and well organised.

• Good IT skills.

• Adaptable and open to change, with a strong sense of responsibility.

• Possesses a proactive and innovative approach to problem solving.

Your hours of work are 09:30am-5:30pm but it is essential to be committed, flexible and prepared to work beyond the normal office hours when necessary and in response to team and client demand.
