The Team

The Finance team consists of 50 members of staff in the UK and a further twenty overseas.  The department looks after all aspects of the Firm's accounts and finances including the practice management system, billing, credit control, disbursements, accounts payable, expenses and client and office bank accounts.

We are looking for an experienced BI Developer / Finance Systems Analyst, for a challenging role within the Finance System Team.   The firm has undertaken a major business transformation project over the last few years to introduce evergreen, based on Dynamics365 and this role plays a key part in the ongoing development of the evergreen platform.

  • Own and deliver key financial work streams (e.g. Business Intelligence, Reporting and Data), managing and maintaining the firm's existing Business Intelligence models and reports.
  • Supporting the global finance team with extraction of data, report design and development using PowerBI, SQL / Microsoft SSRS and providing ad-hoc analyses as required
  • Assist with the development of the firm's business management system (evergreen), and other core financial systems
  • Creation and maintenance of system / process documentation, procedures and instructions
  • Providing leadership, mentoring and training to all business users of financial systems
  • Maintenance of system processes, ensuring scheduled tasks are run, performing month-end closing and system balancing procedures, ensuring the integrity of data in finance systems, investigating and resolving issues identified promptly
Key Skills & Experience
  • Strong working knowledge of a leading practice management system or ERP (Microsoft Dynamics preferable)
  • Advanced SQL and  strong BI and report writing skills (PowerBI, SSRS)
  • Legal finance experience preferred, with solid experience in a similar position (min 4 years)
  • Experience in project and task management
  • Excel/spreadsheet working to highest levels
  • Highly motivated with ability to 'run with the programme' and manage demanding workloads
