The Team

We act for insolvency practitioners, various categories of financier, distressed companies and their directors.  We cover the full range of insolvency work, from purchases and sales in trading insolvencies to multinational multimillion pound frauds. We also advise distressed debt purchasers on the implementation of their varied realisation strategies

The restructuring and insolvency team is a growing part of the firm, with four partners actively engaged in the sector.  Due to an active desire to grow our presence in the market and the existing work load, we are looking for a senior associate/legal director with a strong background in contentious and non-contentious insolvency to join the team.  As well as becoming an integral part of work delivery, we would expect this candidate to actively market to their own and the firm's client base.

  • Proactively manage own files and support existing caseloads
  • Manage a team of juniors in the appointment of office-holders and selling businesses/assets
  • Advise upon and manage insolvency litigation
  • Liaising with clients and handling matters with the appropriate sensitivity
  • Responsibility and management of an existing caseload of  wip and billing
Key Skills & Experience
  • Qualified lawyer with proven English law experience in insolvency law.
  • A proven ability to build relationships with the client
  • Enthusiastic team player with commitment to quality and client care
  • Excellent case management skills
