The Team

The Business Applications & Deployment Team is part of the IT Department and works alongside the ServiceDesk, Technical Services, Development, IT Training and Projects teams to provide the full range of IT services and support to the business.

The Business Applications & Deployment Team Leader is responsible for a small team of Technical Application engineers.  The workload required of this team is ever-increasing in order to support the firm in achieving its strategy and preparing for future software and system implementations

  • Responsible for the end user desktop experience with ultimate oversight of all aspects.
  • The team is responsible for all O/S configuration and desktop designs.
  • Managing the systems end to end that are required to configure and deploy O/S's.
  • The overall desktop application estate.
  • The design, configuration and deployment of all relevant applications.
  • Patch Management of all user O/S's in use, and of all applications installed throughout the firm.
  • Citrix Estate Management – to optimize the user experience
  • Management of the end user hardware estate using best practice methods
  • Managing the application lifecycle
  • New application analysis
  • Application licensing
  • Implementation of selected and approved hardware
  • Manage the workload of the team, including project work and allocating ad-hoc activities
  • Conduct staff PDR's on a quarterly basis and yearly appraisals, setting core objectives and marking achievements
  • Promote ITIL and ensure the team are adhering to the processes
  • Report staff sickness and process holiday requests in the HR system.
  • Participate in Change Control meetings
Key Skills & Experience
  • Citrix XenApp
  • AdminStudio/InstallShield/Packaging technologies
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
  • GPO design and implementation
  • SCUP / SCCM addons
  • Scripting with PowerShell or other languages
  • SQL reporting
  • Thorough 3rd/4th line troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • ITIL Certified or experience working in an ITIL environment
  • Experience in supervisory or leadership role

  • Previous law-firm experience
  • Experience of iManage WorkSite DMS (inc EMM), InterAction CRM and SkypeforBusiness
  • Knowledge of MS Office templates and the potential integrations/issues they bring
