The firm is growing rapidly and its revenue for 2016/17 was £165 million. The UK accounts for approximately 70% of the headcount.

The Team

Our corporate group acts for a wide range of clients in all industry sectors ranging from multinational companies to entrepreneurs. Corporate matters on which we advise include:

  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Equity capital markets

  • Joint ventures
  • Partnerships and LLPs
  • Corporate restructuring

Due to a continued increase in volume we have an excellent opportunity for a junior associate to join our energy sector team focusing on renewable energy transactions in our Munich office.

We act on various renewable energy transactions in Europe mostly acquisitions of wind or solar projects by institutional investors. But the matters also range from advising financial investors with sales of offshore wind farms, to acquisitions of solar farms in insolvency situations across Europe. And we are active in the innovative field of energy efficiency and batteries.

This is a great opportunity for a lawyer with a background in regulatory or corporate law to broaden their experience across the fast paced and growing sector of renewable energy.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage files and support the partners in transactions
  • Preparing thorough documentation and drafting contracts
  • Clarifying, answering and solving energy regulatory questions
  • Liaising with foreign counsel and experts
  • Liaising with clients and handling matters with the appropriate sensitivity
  • Management of an existing caseload
  • Working on the strategic growth of our renewable energy team and developing innovative energy areas
Key Skills & Experience
  • Relevant post qualification experience
  • An ability to build relationships with the client, counsel and experts
  • Should be able to lead a team through a transaction including full due diligence
  • Enthusiastic team player with commitment to quality and client care
  • Strong academics essential
  • Excellent German and English language skills, French or another third language advantageous
