Job Purpose:

The role will report to the Head of Marketing and work closely with the Head of Business Development to implement the Firm-wide and Group Marketing Plans and ensure timely delivery and budgetary control of assigned activities.

The role will involve high levels of engagement with all areas of the firm to increase the engagement in marketing and BD activities, providing hands-on support for marketing and presales activities

Key Responsibilities

Insight:

  • Understanding IBB’s vision, mission and business opportunities and deliver marketing that supports these.
  • Understand IBB’s brand positioning and values, to ensure all marketing activities reflect this.
  • Understanding IBB’s priority targets to manage information.
  • Understanding the full marketing mix and how each element supports brand building and revenue generation.
  • In conjunction with the M&BD team create and develop marketing and BD campaigns and projects.
  • Providing insight to the practice on marketing and BD performance.

Project Management:

  • Building relationships with internal Business Support Group (BSG) teams and ensure their services and resources are used to support marketing and business development objectives.
  • Supporting the BD Director and the managing partner in the execution of strategic marketing activities.
  • Keeping the budget sheets for the team up to date and following up on queries. Holding team members to account on overspend and reporting to Head of Marketing.
  • Providing support to the Marketing Team.
  • To provide support to the BD Team.

Marketing and Business Development:

  • Business Development
    • Researching target companies, sectors, industries and market segments.
    • Managing pursuits of specific opportunities, providing pre-sales support to Partners and pursuit teams.
    • Managing BD campaigns and projects on own
    • Arrangement of and attendance at sector meetings, follow up on actions
    • Drafting copy for agendas, collateral and BD support material
    • Day to day liaison with external suppliers for BD, client feedback etc
    • Reporting and managing post matter surveys and reporting to practice.
    • Working in conjunction with the BD Executives on directory submissions.
  • Marketing
    • Updating the CRM with data for campaigns managed by the team.
    • Managing press releases and media opportunities.
    • Purchasing (within time and budget) promotional items and marketing services.
    • Giving guidance to the practice on the design, creation and use of marketing and BD collateral.
    • Design and creation of collateral and marketing tolls using existing templates.
    • Ensuring materials and hand-outs produced adhere to the IBB Brand.

    • Numeracy and reporting skills.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Working knowledge of In-Design or similar design software.
    • Working knowledge of social media and SEO
  • Advantageous
    • E-marketing experience (ideally Dot Mailer)

Experience required:

  • Minimum two years’ marketing experience

Education:

  • Degree-educated or relevant professional qualification
