The department

The legal industry has faced significant change in recent years, which has impacted both client expectations and the delivery of legal services. In this climate, the key to providing excellent client service will be our ability to embrace new ideas, technologies, and ways of working to help us challenge the present and shape the future. Spotting game-changing innovations, encouraging ideas as to how we sustain and grow our business and support incremental innovation will be a big part of this role.

As a Solutions Executive you will be a core member of the firm’s Innovation team and play a key role in delivering the firms strategic objectives with respect to client service excellence and innovation. You will work with clients and lawyers, across legal practice groups and business services teams to both identify opportunities for improvement, as well as drive changes to our business in order to deliver innovation, improve legal service delivery, client satisfaction, efficiency, and profitability.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to industry and competitor intelligence and thought leadership.

This is a client facing role and you will need to work across all functions within the firm to deliver solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Analysis of legal work to understand how / where processes can be improved and how technology should be utilised to deliver these improvements

  • Delivering and supporting practice specific improvement projects

  • Deliver changes to the practice operating model (people, process and technology) necessary to aid differentiation in the business

  • Keep abreast of key developments in legal technology and shape / provide input to the firm’s technology strategy

  • Undertake industry and competitor research

  • Project manage / support other strategic business change initiatives as and when they arise.

Additional information

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 4-5 years’ experience gained in consulting, business change or technology implementation roles

  • Legal experience would be an advantage however is not a prerequisite

  • Personable, confident and able to build positive relationships with partners, clients and other key stakeholders

  • Experience within the process / continuous improvement space

  • Lean Six Sigma certification is desirable

  • Prince 2 or similar qualification is an advantage but not essential

  • Interested in technology and how it is going to inevitably change the practice of law

  • Able to work in a fast-paced manner and juggle multiple projects

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Ability to effectively manage own workload, pro-active and takes initiative

  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively with people at all levels

  • Resilient and calm under pressure

  • Adaptable and flexible approach.
