The department

This is a dual role position providing assistance to our full time IT Trainer assisting with admin and delivering training to the firm and assistance to our IT Solutions Team covering client portal updates and joiners and leavers setup.

This varied role will require flexibility, quick learning, creativity self-motivation and the ability to work unsupervised, some IT business experience and training experience is preferred but not essential, however, an interest in IT technologies, an inquisitive nature and customer service skills are required to enhance and develop this role as well as strong time management.  Training will be available where required especially Train the Trainer to get up to speed quickly.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting our IT Trainer in administration of the training function
  • Delivering some training to the business when needed
  • Assisting with the creation of e-learning modules on our Intranet
  • Assisting with updates our client portal systems including giving access to clients and internal staff
  • Updating the firm’s Intranet and disaster recovery sites
  • The creation of new joiners in a timely manner including testing access to enhance the on-boarding process
  • Assisting with processing leavers and ensuring access to systems is proactively managed  
  • Assisting helpdesk with overflow work from our helpdesk ticketing system where required for the smooth delivery of the service
  • Assisting the team in hardware and software upgrades and rollouts often out of hours or at weekends

Desired Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows technologies
  • An interest in training delivery and development of training platforms is essential however any training delivery experience is not essential but would be advantageous
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
  • Ability to quickly gain new skills and knowledge when faced with new challenges
  • Attention to detail is key in this role for the smooth running of the service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Open to asking questions and obtaining information in order to deliver the responsibilities of the role
  • Working as part of a team to assist in delivering the IT service
  • Willing to work out of hours when required and at short notice
  • A confident personality with the ability to communicate effectively
