CREATORS, MAKERS AND INNOVATORS
The Creators, Makers and Innovators team is made up of leading advisers for creative, innovative and brand-focused businesses, offering a deep understanding of the industry sectors in which clients operate combined with real expertise across a wide range of legal services.
The Creators, Makers and Innovators division of Lewis Silkin consists of 36 partners and around 65 other specialist lawyers.
The team’s lawyers have decades of experience both within the creative industries and as legal advisers with in depth knowledge and experience of the many sectors that make up the creative world, including advertising and marketing, entertainment and media, fashion, hospitality, technology, retail and sports.
We have a substantial IP practice with over 50 lawyers, attorneys and specialist support staff practising in this area and are recognised in Chambers, Legal 500 and WTR for a number of IP related fields including trade mark filing and prosecution, IP litigation, advertising, brand management, sport and media and entertainment.
Our trade mark prosecution client base is varied; however, much work is focussed on the following sectors: advertising/marketing, retail, fashion, entertainment, automotive and sports. |
Recent client wins mean we have need for additional support at the 1-5 years’ PQE level for a Trade Mark Attorney.
The successful candidate will be a key part of a hard-working, friendly and supportive team; therefore, the ideal candidate will be a strong team player and have experience working in a high performing and collaborative environment.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Have solid UK, EUIPO and international experience in dealing with trade mark searching, filing and prosecution, portfolio management, due diligence and disputes.
- Have experience in litigation, domain name dispute and commercial contracts (would be an advantage).
- Open to work in other areas of IP such as advertising.
- Be commercially focussed and have a problem solving approach.
- Be keen to engage in business development.
IT skills required:
- Competency in MS Office suite.
Professional qualifications required:
- Trade Mark Attorney.
- Excellent academics
