The Associate’s workload will be a combination of employment, intellectual property, commercial litigation, and personal data legal work. The Associate will mainly be assisting more senior associates and partners with their cases, as well as running his or her own matters under supervision. The caseload will consist of a mix of contentious and non-contentious work and the Associate will have direct contact with a variety of clients.
The role will develop in accordance with the Associate’s own skills, aptitude and preferences and according to the needs of clients and the firm/practice.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate must be Hong Kong qualified, have a PQE level of between NQ to 6 years, strong academic performance and gained the benefit of training and development in a well-respected law firm.
Candidates with a PQE level of 3+ years must have comprehensive employment and/or intellectual property law knowledge, in addition to litigation experience. All candidates must have a strong analytical ability and a clear communication style. They must have a commercial approach to client service, enjoy and be comfortable doing business development and, above all, must be a team player.
Chinese language skills (spoken and written) preferred. Exceptional candidates without Chinese language skills will also be considered. |
