The department

We are seeking a skilled Power Platform Product Specialist to join our Product Portfolio Team. Your expertise in designing and customising applications, and creating workflows, will be crucial in driving innovation and process automation across the firm. You will collaborate closely with the Client Collaboration Portfolio Lead to analyse business requirements, design efficient solutions, and ensure we successfully maintain and implement our Power Platform applications.

The Product Specialist will administrate and develop our D365 suite, external facing extranets and help with client facing initiatives. This individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to contribute to issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems.

Responsibilities

Operational

  • Power Platform Development: Design, develop, and customize Power Platform solutions including Power Apps, Power Pages and Power Automate (Flow)to meet business requirements.
  • Administration and continuous improvement of our D365 suite of applications.
  • Contribute and communicate training and documentation for end users, attend user groups as necessary, and other user-related activities.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including solution architecture, design specifications, and user guides, to facilitate knowledge sharing and future enhancements.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Power Platform features and capabilities, evaluate their potential impact on the organization, and propose innovative solutions for process improvement.
  • Take ownership of support escalations.
  • Consult with company’s software suppliers for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies.
  • Assist and contribute to pre-testing phases of new systems and improvements.
  • collaborating with junior team members to deliver the allocated work to a very high standard and in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and system administrators, to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

 

Planning

  • Contributes to development and presentation of routine business cases by completing supportive research and other tasks under the supervision of senior team members.
  • Review and analyses existing applications effectiveness and efficiency, work with the Portfolio leads to implement internal application service system improvements.

Experience and Skills Required

  • Proven experience as a Power Platform expert, with a strong focus on Power Apps & Power Automate.
  • Strong knowledge of Power Automate for creating workflows, approvals, and business process automation.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with M365 and D365 suite of applications.
  • Strong problem solving and customer service skills.
  • Experience of working in a legal or professional services environment would be highly beneficial.
