Responsibilities

Due to expansion we  have an exciting opportunity for a 3-5 year PQE Solicitor/Legal Executive to join our busy, growing team at our Redhill office. The successful candidate will advise and support clients on a wide array of family matters including divorce and ,  financial remedy  , and  private law Children Act cases..  Ideally, the candidate would have a particular interest in private children work.

Required skills, knowledge and experience

Essential

1, A solicitor / legal executive with 3-5 years PQE experience

2.Proven track record of acting for clients in divorce and financial remedy and private law Children Act cases

3.Responsible for a caseload of private family matters including:

  • Divorce and Dissolution of civil partnerships
  • Financial remedy
  • Financial provision for children and separation agreements
  • Cohabitation agreements

4.Ability to manage client expectations

5.Conscientious, hardworking, with developed critical thinking abilities and excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills

6.Ability to work to strict deadlines, targets and client protocols while maintaining high standards in terms of accuracy and quality

7.A competent practitioner and advocate

8.Competent file management

9.Effective credit control

10.A proven team player with the ability to work as part of a team and supporting more junior staff members

11.Proven measurable success in winning new client business through referral and business development activities

12.High level of commercial awareness with strong attention to detail and good drafting skills

13. Wiling to work under supervision and receptive to constructive criticism

14. Fully conversant with Word, Outlook and Excel and used to working with computerised case management systems

15 An excellent communicator both written and public speaking

Desirable

  1. Resolution or similar professional standard recognition
  2. Used to working under LEXCEL or equivalent management standard.

An ability and drive to engage in business development is essential.
