The department

Morrisons Solicitors has a large and comprehensive property practice, with Solicitors supporting clients of all sizes with every aspect of conveyancing, property and land ownership, acquisition, sale, lease and development.

Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Solicitor with good Business Development acumen to join our busy Residential Conveyancing team at our Redhill office.

The ideal candidate will a 4 year+ qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer. Experience of equity release would be an advantage.   

Key Responsibilities

  • To advise and support clients on all matters relating to Residential Conveyancing from instruction through to completion and registration including purchases, transfers and re-mortgages
  • To be involved in business development
  • To supervise junior team members
Additional information

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in a Residential Conveyancing Department

  • High level of commercial awareness with strong attention to detail and good drafting skills
  • Conscientious, hardworking, with developed critical thinking abilities and excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and supporting more junior staff members
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines, targets and client protocols while maintaining high standards in terms of accuracy and quality
  • You will be organised, efficient, work well as part of a team and have the ability to use your own initiative.
  • You will have excellent IT skills and have the ability to pick up new systems easily.
  • You will be dedicated and personable, with a positive can-do attitude.  

Permanent, Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week
