The department

We have extensive experience of working with businesses across a variety of sectors including recruitment, healthcare and dental, travel, media, IT and technology and financial services and with businesses of all sizes. As a firm with particular strength in South West London,  Surrey and Hampshire, we sit at the heart of our local business communities and our knowledge and contacts mean that we can support all aspects of our clients businesses.

Our Commercial team is experienced in helping business of all sizes to successfully navigate legal and compliance issues. But more than this, we add value to businesses by combining acute legal expertise with commercial savvy to help identify opportunities early and mitigate risks before they become problems.

Responsibilities

To advise and support clients on all Corporate matters including:

  • undertaking due diligence and drafting due diligence reports
  • undertaking disclosure and drafting/negotiating disclosure letters

  • drafting ancillary corporate transactional documentation

  • drafting and negotiating sale and purchase agreements for smaller transactions

  • drafting shareholder agreements, option agreements and articles of association
  • To be involved in business development
  • To supervise junior team members
Additional information

The ideal candidate will have:

  • a minimum of 5 years experience of working in a Corporate Department
  • High level of commercial awareness with strong attention to detail and good drafting skills

    Conscientious, hard working, with developed critical thinking abilities and excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team and supporting more junior staff members

  • Ability to work to strict deadlines, targets and client protocols while maintaining high standards in terms of accuracy and quality
