Summary of role


The IT Admin will provide support to IT Department and its customers.  The successful candidate will have a pro-active attitude, excellent organizational skills and an aptitude for working with applications/systems.


Key responsibilities:


  • To act as the main point of contact for central IT Administration
    • IT Purchasing
    • Contract Management
    • Asset Management
    • Extranet site creation
    • Telephony Administration
    • Collating helpdesk statistics / reporting
    • Software licensing management
  • Receiving of logged incidents or requests from the Service Desk and dealing with these accordingly
  • To supplement the helpdesk team by being an available agent on the helpdesk when required.
  • To ensure that an accurate record of all company IT assets within the ITSM is kept and that all issues/fixes are recorded against the correct item.
  • To maintain a high degree of customer service Administration of AD – ensuring compliance of all company policies
  • Project support
  • Liaise with 3rd party vendors
  • Obtain multiple quotes for required equipment to assist with procurement.
  • Any other reasonable task as required by the IT management team


Secondary responsibilities:


  • To act as a single point of contact for all IT issues and requests via telephone, email, and walk-up. 
  • Receiving, logging, triaging and correctly assigning/categorising all calls 
  • Escalation to the IT Support Supervisor any tickets that are close to their SLA or are not able to be resolved. May require a problem to be raised or a complaint received from the customer about the level of service received 
  • To ensure that all calls are recorded in the ITSM tool and that the customers details are checked and amended where needed 
  • 1st troubleshooting business applications, shared applications, hardware, mobile, telecoms and printers 
  • Troubleshoot basic connection issues 
  • Take ownership of all incidents raised on the Service Desk and follow up on the status of these on behalf of the customer and providing timely updates 
  • To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries, adhering to all service management principles 



Essential and desirable criteria
  • Excellent communication skills, telephone manner and face-to-face - essential
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Previous experience of autonomous role would be beneficial
  • Experience of AD administration
  • Experience of WIN 8/10
  • Experience of Office 2013/2016/O365
