Our Team:

Our Risk team of around 10 people is based in the Birmingham and Leicester offices.  Reporting to General Counsel, the team takes a proactive approach and works closely with the firm to manage risk, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and embed a best practice culture across our eight offices.

We have hubs in Birmingham, Leicester, London, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Solihull, Stratford-upon-Avon, Lincoln and Sheffield.  This role will be predominantly home based with travel as required into any of our office hubs.

The role:

We have a brand new opportunity for a motivated Coordinator looking to join our Risk team on a fixed term of 9 months.

You will support our Head of Compliance and the rest of our collaborative team in reviewing and auditing our existing processes.  Here, you will be assisting in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures to support our plans for growth, in line with our House of Brands strategy.

This role would suit someone with interest in the regulatory environment, a keen eye for detail and who works well under pressure.

You key duties will be:

  • with the support of the Head of Compliance, creating and delivering new risk policies, processes and procedures to educate and protect our business as it acquires new entities
  • assisting with the management and governance of the ISO standards
  • auditing the ISO standards as and when required to ensure continued compliance across the business
  • ad hoc targeted audits.
  • assisting with the development of our risk and governance landscape for our House of Brands strategy including obtaining new standards and the management of a number of different regulatory regimes.
  • developing and implementing a revised complaints procedure suitable for our House of Brands, including introducing (in conjunction with out IT team and third party suppliers) an electronic front door for complaints and utilising AI

Skills and experience you will have:

  • a minimum of 12 months’ experience of working in a governance/compliance function
  • proven ability in planning and organising small projects and prioritising work streams
  • excellent organisational skills
  • first-class IT skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel is essential
  • excellent communication skills – written, verbal and report writing

  • to be comfortable working as part of a team and receiving feedback to develop in your role
