The opportunity

We are looking for a Marketing Data Analyst to work in our Sales & Marketing team, part of the firm’s Business Operations group.

You will capture, analyse and understand the data we have to ensure that decisions are data-driven.  Working with multiple digital marketing tools, including but not limited to MS Dynamics, Marketing Automation, GA, Social, your role will be to guide our marketing teams on the success of their operations.

Analytical, engaged and smart, we are looking for someone who loves data, and wants the responsibility of building something and continually developing and improving it; including constructing and maintaining segmentation using demographic, firmographic, content and behavioural insights.  Working closely with the Sales & Marketing team and Business Operations to contribute to the data strategy – ultimately ensuring an improvement in the quality, scope and accuracy of our data, and the enhancement of our marketing activity.

The successful candidate will provide critical insight, reporting and modelling to enable the growth of our business - across marketing channels, campaigns and programmes, and will work closely with a variety of teams to allow them to execute and measure the marketing strategy.

Your key duties will be:

  • supporting  client growth, to include the development and building of a targeted client lists based on data analysis and sales team insights, for marketing campaigns, and gathering/analysing data for presentations and data visualisation; this also includes:
    • client data and attributes, to deliver tangible insights to support client-facing marketing and growth plans
  • being accountable for reporting marketing analytics, including sales and customer behaviour; this includes:
    • the creation and maintenance of a suite of reports required by teams to enable daily self-sufficient data & insight access
    • attribution modelling to enable marketing teams to determine success of all channels and activities
  • the analysis of client behaviour and deliver actionable insights in simple, clear reports
  • analysing the effectiveness of channels and campaigns to optimise reach, conversion and client engagement
  • supporting Marketing Automation, developing our data for MA/CRM integration and implementation; you will build the processes and requirements for optimal CRM usage, and deliver always-on and ad hoc campaigns
  • advising on any projects that involve marketing or contact data, CRM or future marketing/contact data development
  • taking ownership of data compliance; you will be responsible for the integration and management of data in accordance with GDPR and PECR
  • working with the CRM system; this could  include the day-to-day maintenance from inputting and cleansing data, to delivering insight
  • delivering group training and one-on-one guidance on using CRM, Marketing Automation, reporting and digital

Skills and experience you will have:

  • Currently working as a data / insight analyst – ideally been in role or similar role for 3+ years
  • experience in client data management & reporting, analytics and offering insight
  • demonstrable experience of working with CRM systems / database, MS Dynamics is ideal
  • solid experience in data acquisition and lead nurturing tactic, as well as in visualisation of data and presentation (experience in PowerBi is desirable)
  • knowledge and understanding of GDPR & PECR requirements, as well as experience in handling data regulations rigour and compliance
  • knowledge of Google Analytics or another relevant web analytics solution
  • experience working with SQL/NOSQL databases s desirable
