Our multi-disciplinary Real Estate group is highly regarded by our clients and within the sector. It comprises not only lawyers but town and country planners, RICS surveyors, property managers and sector focused financial advisers. We’ve brought experts into our services in planning, development, investment, landlord and tenant matters, construction and litigation with a particular emphasis on energy, retail, housing, education, finance and investment funds.

Our Remortgage team ranks in the top five firms providing this service to lenders across the UK. With ambitions to climb in to the top three and to continue the stellar growth achieved over the last two years; this is a fast-paced and lively team focused on providing the very best advice and service to key stakeholders including lenders, customers, and brokers. By combining conveyancing specialists, operational expertise and an uncompromising approach to outstanding customer service we help lenders to deliver innovative products to their customers on a large scale processing some 15,000-20,000 transactions per year.

The opportunity

The role:

You will work within a team to provide a quality service to clients in Remortgage, predominantly working in the area of residential conveyancing, including freehold, leasehold, registered and unregistered titles.

Your key duties will be:

  • liaising with clients in a professional manner
  • working on Titles, Remortgages, Rectifications and Transfers of Equity and Deed Gifts
  • handling your own caseload of matters
  • working to strict deadlines
  • supporting management in relation to the running of the department, including coordinating and working in partnership with the department
  • handling enquiries efficiently
  • supervision of the team including, training and management
  • day to day management of a case management system
  • assisting partners and the management in promoting Shakespeare Martineau

 

Skills and experience you will have:

  • a minimum of 2 years in residential conveyancing
  • strong IT skills
  • experience of good file management
  • the ability to adhere to precedents and procedures as appropriate
