Meet the team

Our Commercial Property team are one of the fastest growing real estate practices, having more than doubled income and significantly strengthened the team over the last two and half years. With the support of Planning and Construction, we have one of the best integrated teams. We act for local and national developers, pension funds and venture capitalists as well as foreign investors on projects throughout the UK. Our experienced team has assisted in the development and sale of over 4m sq ft of town centre and out of town retail and leisure development as well as industrial and distribution hubs, offices and mixed use schemes.

The opportunity

We are looking for an Associate Solicitor to join our Commercial Property Team part of our Infrastructure and Specialist Markets Business Unit.

Your key duties will be:

  • working as part of a wider team that has a depth and breadth of experience and expertise across most industry sectors, and in every area of Commercial Property law
  • helping to build and grow the Commercial Property practice, which includes freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, secured lending, portfolio management work, and landlord and tenant matters
  • play an integral part in a growing Commercial Property & Development team
  • assist on large commercial property and development deals and manage your own caseload
  • liaising with clients in a professional manner
  • working to strict deadlines

Skills and experience you will have:

  • 3 years +  PQE
  • strong knowledge of Commercial Property and/or Development
  • advanced IT skills
  • good file management
  • an appreciation of office financial procedures
  • a willingness and enthusiasm to get involved in business development activities, ideally to able to demonstrate a proven track record of success in this area

  • a high degree of initiative and the ability to cope in a demanding environment
  • excellent organisational and prioritising skills
  • the ability to work in a busy team to support the growth of the team
