The opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen to work as part of our growing document production team to provide a professional high quality and efficient full range of document production services to the firm. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Prioritising and processing all work requests, to include audio typing/transcription of correspondence and other documents.
  • Producing and amending business critical documents with speed and accuracy, to include pleadings, reports, cost spreadsheets, organisational charts, and PowerPoint presentations
  • Creating, editing, and reformatting all correspondence and documents in line with the firm’s precedents, templates and house style
  • Advanced document revision including document comparison, formatting, styling, cross referencing, and table of contents
  • Proof reading and checking all work for spelling, grammar, formatting, presentation and flow, including that generated by our speech recognition systems
  • Provide expert assistance to the firm in relation to resolving problem of corrupt documents when required
  • Taking responsibility for ensuring each piece of work is correctly saved, accessible and returned to the sender with the appropriate communication
  • Proactively clarifying instructions with legal departments and requestors should they be unclear or if deadlines are not made explicit

Skills and experience you will have:

  • Experience of working in a similar role ideally within professional services although we are open to other sectors
  • Efficient and accurate audio and copy typing skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) as well as knowledge of PDF editing software and tools and techniques
  • Experience of using document and case management systems
  • Effective communicator, able to build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues

How we work

We embrace agile working and offer a blended approach to where and how we work.

We appreciate that people have different needs and preferences and we’re keen to be flexible, after all, we value what you do, not where you do it.

We have hubs in Birmingham, Leicester, London, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Solihull, Stratford-upon-Avon and Sheffield. This role will be predominantly home based with travel as required into or one of our office hubs for occasional team meetings.

The working hours will be 37 hours per week, working between the hours of 7.00am and 7.00pm Monday to Friday on a rotational basis.
