Meet the team

Our multi-disciplinary Real Estate group is highly regarded by our clients and within the sector. It comprises not only lawyers but also town and country planners. We’ve brought experts into our services in planning, development, investment, landlord and tenant matters, social housing, construction and litigation with a particular emphasis on energy, housing, education, finance and investment funds.

The opportunity

We are looking for a Paralegal to join our Birmingham-based Investment team, part of the firm’s Real Estate group.

You will work within a team to provide fee earning and administrative support to partners and senior fee earners to help deliver a quality service to clients, predominantly working in the area of investment.

Your key duties will be:

  • providing paralegal and administrative support to a large team
  • dealing with general correspondence
  • handling telephone calls, queries and enquiries efficiently, where appropriate
  • drafting forms and documentation
  • liaising with clients in a professional manner

Skills and experience you will have:

  • a minimum of 6 months’ previous experience in a similar role
  • previous experience using a case management system
  • strong IT skills
  • an appreciation of office financial procedures

Key competencies you will need:

  • a desire to specialise in this area of law
  • a desire to enhance client relationships through day-to-day activity
  • a high degree of initiative and the ability to cope in a demanding environment
  • excellent organisational and prioritising skills
