Meet the team

Meet Pete Dilks. He heads up our market leading real estate energy team focusing on innovative solutions to renewable energy and flexible energy generation. The team sits in our wider infrastructure and specialist markets business unit.

We have exciting growth plans, which will see us continuing to work with the best clients in, and beyond, the Midlands on the best projects. You’ll have great opportunities to progress and you’ll also get the chance to work with market leading technology.

The opportunity

Our team has grown from strength to strength and we are looking for an ambitious individual to join us at paralegal level and can offer the opportunity to study towards CILEX/SQE as part of your ongoing development.

Your key duties will be:

  • providing paralegal support to the volume utilities team, with wider exposure to general commercial property.
  • liaising with clients, and handling queries and enquiries where appropriate
  • being responsible for and conducting all aspects of transactions
  • drafting and producing forms and transactional documentation
  • completing transactions to a high standard
  • working with other team members on non-volume utilities transactions where needed

You will have:

  • a minimum of 6 months’ previous experience in a paralegal / fee earner role
  • experience within a volume utilities or commercial property team
  • experience of using case management systems

  • ability to manage volume transactions
  • good attention to detail and accuracy
  • good communication skills
  • a keen desire to learn and enhance your existing skills
  • a hands on approach to work with and be part of a wider team
  • the ability to build rapport with colleagues and clients alike
  • a desire to develop the knowledge and expertise of the team, as well as yourself

We have hubs in Birmingham, Leicester, London, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Solihull, Stratford-upon-Avon and Sheffield. This role will be a hybrid of home based with travel as required into our Nottingham hub.
