Meet the team

Our Real Estate Finance team has extensive experience in advising banks, building societies and other funders including property investors and developers. We are one of the largest teams in the West Midlands with a team of around 30 people experienced in Islamic finance issues alone. We advise our clients on a variety of matters including development finance, facility letters, guarantees, investment finance, loan book management, LPA receivership, priority/subordination deeds, security documents and short-term lending.

The opportunity

We have a brand new opportunity for an enthusiastic, driven and experienced Conveyancing Executive to join our Real Estate Finance team.

You will mainly focus on dealing with reports on title, managing CP checklists and processing completions in a close-knit and fast-paced team. 

This role would suit someone who enjoys and works well under pressure, is looking for excellent development in a collaborative team and exposure to quality clients.

You key duties will be:

  • working independently and managing your own caseload which includes drafting of all enquiries, emails and other correspondence
  • reviewing title and accompanying legal documents 
  • reviewing Law Society Certificate of Title prepared by other law firms and reporting on the same
  • preparing reports on title including various legal research when required and dealing with all relevant duties in relation to completions
  • dealing with clients and firms of solicitors in a professional manner and maintaining close contact
  • handling all queries and enquiries efficiently
  • maintaining good file management
  • participating in department and team meetings in a positive and proactive manner
  • assisting other team members as and when required
  • working to strict deadlines

Skills and experience you will have:

  • a qualification in conveyancing is desirable but not essential
  • a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a conveyancing role
  • technical and legal knowledge of conveyancing
  • experience dealing with a high volume caseload gained within a fast paced commercial property environment
  • dealing with post completion enquiries and requisitions from the Land Registry or Companies House
  • experience of using case management systems

We have hubs in Birmingham, Leicester, London, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Solihull, Stratford-upon-Avon and Sheffield. This role will be a hybrid of working from home and from our Birmingham hub with ad hoc travel to one of our other West Midlands hubs.
