Meet the team

Our multi-disciplinary Real Estate group is highly regarded by our clients and within the sector. It comprises not only lawyers but town and country planners, RICS surveyors, property managers and sector focused financial advisers. We’ve brought experts into our services in planning, development, investment, landlord and tenant matters, construction and litigation with a particular emphasis on energy, retail, housing, education, finance and investment funds.

Our team of planning consultants, Marrons Planning, has over 10 experienced RTPI qualified town and country planners advising clients on a wide range of planning and development issues. Our experience includes dealing with planning matters of all types and scales from leading and co-ordinating large and complex development proposals, to dealing with small scale and householder developments. We provide our clients with advice on the submission of planning applications, preparation of planning documentation, permitted development rights, long term urban extension site allocation and promotions and strategic planning, housing land supply advice and retail issues.

The opportunity

The role:

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our growing planning consultancy here in the Midlands.

Working as part of a team of experienced and skilled town planners, you will be able to quickly learn and develop your knowledge of the planning process from a consultancy perspective.

With our support, we will give you experience of working with clients on delivering major and minor developments across the UK in different sectors.  From securing planning permissions and land allocations, to negotiating S106 Agreements and conditions, you will be given the opportunity to be a key part of our business.

As we grow, we want you to grow, and so if you are ambitious, have a planning related qualification which is accredited by the RTPI, and are looking to take the next step in your career, we would like to hear from you.

The key duties will be:

  • advising on development potential of land and buildings
  • assisting with preparing planning applications and appeals
  • providing policy advice and research
  • drafting representations to plan consultations and examinations
  • working with clients

Skills and experience you will have:

  • a relevant Planning qualification
  • membership of RTPI or RICS or working towards membership
  • an understanding of the planning process and systems

Key competencies you will need:

  • good attention to detail and accuracy
  • excellent communication skills and a friendly approachable manner
  • ability to prioritise workload and manage time efficiently
  • strong IT skills
  • drive, commitment, enthusiasm and a team player approach
