Meet the team

Our multi-disciplinary Real Estate group is highly regarded by our clients and within the sector. It comprises not only lawyers but town and country planners, RICS surveyors, property managers and sector focused financial advisers. We’ve brought experts into our services in planning, development, investment, landlord and tenant matters, construction and litigation with a particular emphasis on energy, retail, housing, education, finance and investment funds.

Our Social Housing Sales team is one of the largest in the Midlands specialising in all aspects of property acquisition and disposal for more than 60 Registered Providers across the country. We lead our competitors in the delivery of extracare housing for people over the age of 55. In the last 12 months we have disposed of more than 250 void residential dwellings, 450 extracare properties and 300 shared ownership units.

The opportunity

The role:

You will work as part of a team to provide administrative support to help our legal teams deliver great service to our clients.

Your key duties will be:

  • preparing the relevant paperwork for instructions, including staircasing, shared ownership, Right to Buy and single unit disposals
  • opening and closing electronic files
  • the use of a case management system to process and progress cases
  • taking telephone calls and messages, handling queries and enquiries
  • photocopying, scanning, faxing, printing, filing and collating documentation
  • archiving, storing and retrieving documentation (electronic and paper versions)
  • typing documents and correspondence  
  • processing incoming and outgoing post and arranging couriers
  • managing diaries for the team, booking appointments and making travel arrangements
  • assisting with financial administration, liaison with finance team, processing cheque requests and expenses
  • dispatching invoices and collecting payment
  • maintaining data on Excel spreadsheets

Skills and experience you will have:

  •  previous administrative experience, ideally gained within a legal environment
  •  experience of working at a fast pace with a high volume workload
  •  a minimum grade C pass at GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics
  • confidence with IT systems to include Microsoft Word and Excel
  •  good basic keyboard ability
