Meet the team

To provide truly outstanding client service we work as one team.  Our Business Operations Group is made up of business professionals who work with our legal professionals to provide market leading expertise to our clients.  The Groups include; Finance, Operations, HR, Marketing, IT, Risk and the Executive Leadership team.

The HR Talent and Development team supports the goals of the business by building a high performance culture with strong engagement and a reputation for developing talent at all levels.  The team has around 20 members comprising HR Business Partnering, Learning & Development, Recruitment, and HR Operations functions.  This is a dedicated team of individuals all passionate about helping our people succeed.

The opportunity

The role:

We are looking for an Administrator to provide support to the HR Operations Manager and the HR Operations Assistant within the Human Resources team.

Working hours are 37 hours in total per week; covering 8.30 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.30 am to 4.30pm on Friday. 

Your key duties will be:

  • assisting with the on-boarding process and working with the team in preparing the induction schedules and material
  • liaising with other departments in the firm with regards to preparing for inductions
  • creating and sending out offer paperwork, contacting new starters and carrying out pre-employment screening checks
  • to be responsible for providing and requesting of references for new starters and leavers
  • to be responsible for processing all absences and holiday amendments
  • updating seating information list on a weekly basis and sending out to relevant parties
  • providing HR administration support including, filing, printing and photocopying
  • providing general administration support to the wider HR function including processing leavers
  • the management around security, indexing, archiving and destroying of documents in accordance to the General Data Protection Regulation 2018
  • to maintain awareness of confidential and sensitive data / documents; ensuring desks and workspaces are clear, secure and visibility kept to a minimum in line with the clear desk policy
  • identifying and challenging processes with a focus on continuous improvement

Skills and experience you will have:

  • previous experience of working in a varied HR Administrator role is desired
  • previous experience of using Microsoft Excel and Word

  • strong organisation skills and ability to prioritise workload; takes ownership of workload and recognises when there is a need for assistance or to re-prioritise
