Meet the team

Our multi-disciplinary real estate group has a long-standing reputation for delivering astute practical counsel. It comprises not only lawyers but also town and country planners and sector focused financial advisors. We therefore take pride in having one of the best integrated groups.

Our multi-disciplinary Property Finance team has extensive experience in advising banks, building societies and other funders including property investors and developers. We are one of the largest teams in the West Midlands with a team of around 30 people experienced in Islamic finance issues alone. We advise our clients on a variety of matters including development finance, facility letters, guarantees, investment finance, loan book management, LPA receivership, priority/subordination deeds, security documents and short-term lending.

The opportunity

The role:

We are looking for an experienced Conveyancing Executive to join our Birmingham-based Property Finance team, as part of the firm’s Real Estate group.  

The role will mainly focus on dealing with reports on title and processing, and would suit someone who enjoys and works well under pressure. The team can offer opportunities for progression, competitive salary / benefits and exposure to quality clients.

This opportunity will be offered on a fixed term contract of 12 months. 

Your key duties will be:

  • dealing with reports on title and all relevant duties in relation to completions
  • dealing with general correspondence
  • handling telephone calls, and handling queries and enquiries where appropriate
  • producing forms and documentation e.g. Legal Charge
  • drafting documents
  • creating registrations at Companies House and Land Registry
  • dealing with clients in a professional manner and maintaining close contact
  • handling queries and enquiries efficiently
  • maintaining good file management
  • participating in department and team meetings in a positive and proactive manner
  • working to strict deadlines

Skills and experience you will have:

  • a minimum of 2 years' previous experience in a conveyancing / fee earner role
  • experience of completing title reviews
  • experience of using a case management system
  • technical and legal knowledge of conveyancing is desirable
  • experience of dealing with a high volume conveyancing caseload gained within a fast paced commercial property environment
  • proficiency in Excel as this will be used to update clients on their portfolio

  • the ability to manage and populate data rooms to share documents
